  87 1100 shadow fuel tank
Posted by: Kingphilli64 - 07-23-2018, 04:43 PM - Forum: Honda Shadow/Spirit - Replies (1)

Question- I am building a 1100 shadow and do not want to use the actual fuel tank below the seat.  Is the reason for the fuel pump to actually push fuel to the carbs because they are higher than the tank? Would a different tank work with gravity feed petcock and fuel line?

New to the sight but not bikes.  Live in the foothills of NC.  Live, love and breath bikes.   Been on them since I was 6.  So been on them or in them for around 47 years.  Have several bikes now and am currently building a 87 Honda 1100 shadow.

Hey gang, new to the forum and new to the Bobber scene, but have been riding most of my life. I had a V Star Classic that didn't run right so I traded it for a Volusia. The Volusia already had "character" and Cobra pipes, etc. It was a full dresser and that extra baggage had to go. I currently have all unneeded junk removed and am awaiting parts. My drag bars arrived yesterday and the seat kit should be here next week. It is too blasted hot outside to work on the bike for long, but it is getting there. Thanks for having me. I will post pics when I get home from work.

  Fuel tank
Posted by: Hellhound78 - 06-13-2018, 02:05 PM - Forum: Honda Shadow/Spirit - Replies (3)

I have a 1991 shadow 600. Bought it for $40 it was an attempted bobber project. They didn't get far. So I comolecomp disassembled it chopped on the frame a bit and am in the process of welding it back together then paint and reassemble. In the box o goodies I got with the bike there is no fuel tank. And idea where I can get one on the cheap or a suggestion of what might fit it with little modifications. I don't wanna get crazy with the fuel tank....seems above my pay grade lol. Any and all suggestions welcome thanks in advance
